Privacy Policy

Expense Tape ("the app") is operated by an individual, not a company. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it's used.

What we collect

• Your email address and name, from Google sign-in — used only to identify your account.
• The expenses you log: amount, date, category, a short note, and (if you photograph a receipt) the receipt image content is sent for parsing but the image itself is not stored.
• If you add your own Anthropic API key, it is stored to route your AI requests through it, and is never shown back to you in full after saving.

Who processes it

Your data is stored with Supabase (database & authentication) and processed by the Anthropic API (to parse text/receipts into structured expense data). The app is hosted on Vercel. Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy terms as our data processors.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything beyond running the app for you. Your expense data is private to your account.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or full account deletion at any time from Settings, or by contacting the app operator directly. Deleting your account removes your expenses, profile, and login association permanently.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the app changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
