By using Expense Tape ("the app"), you agree to these terms.

The service

Expense Tape lets you log expenses via text or receipt photos, parsed with AI assistance, and stored to your account. A limited amount of AI-powered parsing is included for free each month; manual entry is always unlimited. The app is provided as-is, with no uptime or accuracy guarantee.

Accuracy

AI parsing of amounts, dates, and categories can be wrong. You're responsible for reviewing and correcting your own logged expenses, especially before relying on them for tax or financial reporting.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure, since that's how you sign in. If you add your own Anthropic API key, you're responsible for its usage and any costs it incurs on your own Anthropic account.

No warranty, limited liability

The app is offered free of charge with no warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app, including data loss or inaccurate expense records.

Changes and termination

These terms may change as the app evolves. Accounts may be suspended for abuse (e.g. attempting to bypass usage limits, or activity that harms the service for other users).
